NUCC Releases 1500 Health Insurance Claim Form Reference Instruction Manual & Provider Taxonomy code set

The National Uniform Claim Committee (NUCC) has released its annual, updated version of its 1500 Health Insurance Claim Form Reference Instruction Manual. The updated instruction manual, Version 10.0 7/22, goes into effect immediately and is available at the NUCC’s Web site, www.nucc.org, under the 1500 Claim Form tab.
There were no changes to the Version 9.0 7/21 manual.
A change log is available on the NUCC’s Web site that states no changes were made from the previous version. Any interim changes, clarifications, or corrections to the instructions following this release will be posted on the NUCC Web site. The 1500 instruction manual is maintained by the NUCC. The NUCC is a voluntary organization of health care industry stakeholders representing providers, payers, designated standards maintenance organizations, public health organizations, and vendors.
The National Uniform Claim Committee (NUCC) has released the semi-annual update to the Health Care Provider Taxonomy code set, which will go into effect on October 1, 2022. The complete code set is available at: www.nucc.org/taxonomy. Changes to the code set are listed in the “Modifications” tab under the Code Sets and Provider Taxonomy headings on the NUCC website.
The Health Care Provider Taxonomy code set is maintained by the NUCC. The NUCC is a voluntary organization of health care industry stakeholders representing providers, payers, designated standards maintenance organizations, public health organizations, and vendors.
